録画した番組を一晩寝かせると綺麗になる

昨日から強烈な偏頭痛で悩まされてます。今日はちょっとマシですけど、昨日の夕方辺りは、強烈な痛さに冷や汗と吐き気がしてきたので、残業30分で帰宅です。プチ脳梗塞とかだったらどうしよう。朝起きなかったらどうしよう。とかブツブツ悩みながら早々と就寝。

と、そんな日々を送る中、RUSH BALL 2008 10th Anniversary（読売テレビ）を録画していたんですけど、何を思ったかアナログ地上波で録画。

ひっさしぶりアナログ放送を見たけれど、汚いなぁ～。ってかVHSの3倍録画かと見間違う程の画質で、何で地デジで撮らなかったのか、またしても１本抜けている今日この頃。

PLAYSTATION 3の心臓部「Cell B.E.」を搭載したテレビが、東芝さんから来秋にも発売されるそうです。来秋って１年も先・・・の話なんですが、最近のスーパーハイエンドテレビには「超解像」なる新技術が組み込まれているらしく、それを使うと、解像度の低い映像を何やかんやして高解像度の映像になるらしく、しかも「それってただのアップスケールじゃん！」っというのとは違い、画素数を増やして中間画素を補正するという在り来たりのものではなく、前後のフレームやらシーンのパターンやら何やかんやを何やかんやして、「無い画素を作り出す」というトンでもない技術らしいのです。

なので、通常のアップスケールだと綺麗にはなるけどシャープさが無くなりぼんやりとしてしまうのに、超解像だとくっきりはっきりとした映像で、まるで最初からその解像度だったように見えるらしい。PLAYSTATION3のアップスケールは「CELL B.E.」がソフトウェア処理をバリバリやっていて、超解像とは行かないまでも一般的なアップスケールとは見違えるような出力をしてくれます。これって超解像的なコトをしてるんですかね？

テレビにはHDDが搭載され、指定した番組を一晩テレビの中で寝かせておくと勝手に超解像になり、さらに丸一日おいておくと「さらにさらに美しい超解像」へと生まれ変わるのです。

テレビもワインと同じように、寝かせる程に美しくなる時代がくるそうです。

ついでにVHSなど旧式の録画機器をこのすんごいテレビに接続した場合でも超解像は適応され、VHSならDVD並に、DVDはブルーレイ並の映像になるらしいです。VHSの寿命がまた伸びるんでしょうか・・・。
