無料版Photoshopを使ってみた

世の中目まぐるしく日々変わるもので、ついにプロ向け画像編集ソフトの定番的存在である「Adobe Photoshop」が無料で使える時代がやってきました。その名も「ADOBE PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS BETA（以下PSXと表記）」です。私英語が全然ダメなんですけど、どうやらソフトウェア業界でEXPRESSと付くと「無料版」的な感じになるんですね。

話戻しまして、最後にBETAと付いていることからもお分かりのように、まだβ版です。つまりテスト公開版。しかも今流行のSaaSとなっており、ネットに接続してブラウザ上でグリグリやるというもの（所謂WEBアプリってやつです）。しかも使える機能も限られているんですが、Photoshopエンジンが無料で使えるのには変わりないし、オンラインストレージとしても使えるということで、昨日地元で撮ってきただんじり画像をチョコチョコ編集してみます。あとついでに英語版です。日本語版の提供は未定。英語全然ダメなんですが、パソコン関係の日本語ってほとんどが英語をそのままカタカナにしただけなので、だいたい分かるだろうという思い込みで、頑張りたいと思います。

先にも書いたように、このPSXはWEBアプリと言う事で、まずPhotoshop.comにアクセスして、Adobe IDの発行と利用契約に同意しなくてはなりません。もちろん全部英語ですが、そんなに難しい英語は出てこないので大丈夫だと思います。サービスが開始できたら、とりあえずMicro-SDカードを携帯から取り出して（うわっちっちぇ！こんなに小さかったっけ！？とか思いつつ）メモリースロットに挿入。

次に、PSXの右上に[Upload Photos]という青いボタンがあるので（手書き風の文字でQuick Startって書いてるので直ぐ分かると思います）クリックすると、普通のファイルを開く画面が出てきます。このウィンドウはOS標準の画面になるので、OSが日本語であれば日本語です。ここでまずオンラインにアップロードしたい写真を選択するのですが、[Ctrl]キーを押しながらクリックすれば複数枚の写真を一気に選択できるので、ポチポチと選んで[開く]ボタン（Windows Vistaの場合です）を押せば、またPSXの画面に戻り、「どのアルバムに保存しますか？」的なウィンドウが出ていると思うので、「Upload to New Album」を選んでアルバム名を付けます。アルバムとか要らないという人は「Upload to Library」を、前回作ったアルバムに追加なら「Upload to Existing Album」を選んで右下の[Upload]ボタンを押せば、ピロピロピロ～ってな具合にデータが転送されていきます。

これで、PSXのオンラインストレージに写真がアップロードされるというわけです。結構簡単だなぁ～と関心。しかも見た目もかっこいい。ただ思いっきりクールなデザインのWEB画面にだんじりの画像がいっぱいならんでるのがちょっと奇妙だったりもします。

今回は携帯で写真をバシバシ撮っていたので、縦横が無茶苦茶。なので、画像を回転させてみたいと思います。
